Krav Maga DFW - Class Description

Core Program

Krav Maga Basic
This program teaches both Yellow and Orange Belt material as described under the Krav Maga Worldwide Curriculum Guide. Students learn to defend against most common unarmed street assaults under low to moderate stress-induced conditions. In addition to the practicality of learning a reality-based self defense system, students also benefit from a complete head to toe fitness workout. A rotating curriculum allows students to enter this program at any time.
Course time: Approximately six months

Krav Maga Intermediate
This program teaches a combination Orange Belt and Green Belt material as described under the Krav Maga Worldwide Curriculum Guide. The course is designed to transition students from beginner material to more advanced Krav Maga techniques.
Course time: Approximately six months

Krav Maga Advanced
This program teaches both Green and Blue Belt material as described under the Krav Maga Worldwide Curriculum Guide. Students learn to defend against more complex, unarmed street assaults; common attacks by a gun, stick, or edged weapon; as well as how to survive an assault if taken to the ground. Simulated assaults are practiced under moderate to intense stress-induced conditions, and most classes include a strong physical workout. Students may enter this class upon instructor approval after completing the Basic Course.
Course time: Approximately 12 months

Krav Maga Expert
This program teaches Brown Belt material as covered in the Krav Maga Worldwide Curriculum Guide and will take each student to a new level of self defense proficiency against almost any type of weapon. Strong physical conditioning is emphasized in this class to prepare the student for the extreme stress that occurs as a result of multiple assailants and / or extremely hazardous weapon assaults. Students may enter this class upon instructor approval after completion of the Advanced Course. Upon successful completion of this program and instructor approval, students may elect to test for a Krav Maga Worldwide Black Belt in an exam held in Los Angles, CA.

Krav Maga Ground
This program is for all Krav Maga students and teaches multi-level Ground Fighting techniques covered in the Krav Maga Worldwide Curriculum Guide as well as other Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tactics. A rotating curriculum allows students to enter this program at any time. Strong physical conditioning is emphasized

Krav Maga Review
This program is for all Krav Maga students. In this class students may request instruction on any combatives or self defense techniques within their approved program. The instructor may also use this time to review any material covered during that past week. This class is strongly recommended for students preparing to take any Belt Level examination.


Add On Programs

Fight Class
This class is for students who want to want to take the skills learned in the Krav Maga program and apply them to a controlled street fighting environment. Skills and Drills are emphasized, but time is left at the end of each class for several rounds of contact fighting. This class requires approved head gear, shin and instep protection, and 14 or 16 oz boxing gloves as well as groin protection and mouth piece.

Muay Thai
Dutch Style Muay Thai focuses on combinations, movement, speed and most of all technique. Working with partners and pads at nearly every moment, the goal is to get you moving to avoid an attack and to build reaction time to defend it aggressively. Though Dutch Style mainly emphasizes the ability to effectively launch an attack on an opponent. This is not only to teach fighters, but to give everyone the ability to learn how a fighter thinks and how they must move, while still having fun. Though this is a fighting sport, it is designed to get even a beginner to enjoy the art.

Hi Impact Cardio
This class is the perfect complement to the "combatives" taught in the Krav Maga Self Defense Program. Variety is emphasized in each of the high energy 45 minute classes taught four times per week. Cardio can be added to the Krav Maga program or taken along with the Striking Class as a stand alone fitness program for those students desiring an alternative to the typical gym workout.

Striking Class
This is an intense cardio workout rotating formats weekly between Focus Mitt, Thai Pad and Stand Up Bags. Students will punch, kick, elbow and knee for two or three minute rounds during the entire 60 minute class. Be prepared to sweat!

Leadership Training
This class is for students who desire to become a Certified Krav Maga Instructor. Students will be prepared to take the comprehensive and rigorous certification test held in Los Angeles. This class is by invitation only!

Private Lessons
For students that desire one on one with a certified Krav Maga instructor or who can not make a regularly scheduled class. Currently students that are attending these private lessons are traveling from as far away as Texarkana, Tyler, Corsicana, and Abilene and will work along with other students in any of the Core Program classes whenever they are in town..

Childrens MMA
This program is designed for children ages 7 to 12 to teach basic Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) techniques.
